View Full Version : Help with shadow lines!

I have a smooth object with no Non planar polys and no 1 or 2 point polys. Yet for some reason I'm still seeing grey shadow lines criss crossing on the surface of the model.
I've tried smoothing the model and different lighting setting as well as turning off shadows on lights altogether. Any ideas why these lines might be appearing on the surface of a smooth model?
Also - there are no UV maps - just surface color. Thanks

Can you post an example? It's hard to say without any specific info about the scene or an image of what the error looks like.

Without seeing anything, here's my guess: In surface properties, look at the bottom of the Basic tab where it says Vertex Normal Map. If it's set to anything, change it to None.

You could try merging points (m) and unifying your polys (shift+i). Otherwise it's hard to tell without a screenshot or object file.
