I've been working on a scene where there are a collection of instanced leaves and is effected by gravity, but I don't want the particles to randomize every time I play the scene in case I need to re-render a certain frame, or whenever I re-load the scene. Is there a way to bake particles natively in LW? I read on other posts that .MDD is used but to be honest I don't quite understand the process in doing that. Thanks.

What you want to do is save your particle simulation to a pfx file. In your emitter tab there's a tab at the end to save your simulation to a file.
