Finally got a few moments to look at the Mar. 03 Newsletter and the first article about a Free Architectural Scene, except the WeTransfer link has already expired.

https://www.lightwave3d.com/news/article/free-architectural-scene-by-peter-waldemar/

Anyone know of an alternate site or how to poke the powers that be to repost it for a bit longer time?

It's not expired, it says file deleted by uploader. Probably by accident.

Hmmm, usually We Transfer files are up for ~ 2 weeks unless some other arrangement is made.

Someone will notice.

Perhaps there's copyright material in the scene, when I look at the image maps there could easily be some Evermotion stuff in there (or not, hard to tell).

I dropped 'em a note, so they're aware & sending someone out to tinker with the plumbing.

yep,

-use LW function > package scene
-manually delete files in explorer
-open scene, re-save

easy, and zip file gets much smaller.

still, happy for the share.

The lighting is all off, so you won't get the same as the Newsletter render

Kevin

In the article, clicking on the image that says "free download" takes you to the page that gives the "file removed" error, but if you click on the blue text that says, "Download it now," it automatically starts the file download (318MB). It needs Kray, db&w Tools, and DPKit. Two images are missing, one of them appears to be the HDRI sky, the other one is the image that goes in the big black frame, behind the dog (so you can't even see it in the render).

Ah, well, with nod to Terry Gilliam of course.

The link from the newsletter launches a file d/l window but as others have mentioned, Layout's expecting Kray and a couple textures are missing or Layout's trying to find some hideously named file, 18 sublevel folders deep. Anyway, I'll save it out to a loadable version at least & look when I can. Might be good exercise to see what can be done Krayless as comparison.
