Yep, in just a little over a month it will be ONE YEAR since the last official post on the NEW BLOG communicating exciting news to us faithful LW'ers. Hard to imagine it's been a year since the post of "optimizations" of the new system. Just think what they have done in the past 11 months :0 Exciting stuff I'm sure...however we can only imagine of course...

Are we looking at the same blog? What NEW BLOG are you speaking of?

Because the last post here --> https://blog.lightwave3d.com/ shows up as December 7, 2016 for me. I'm not even seeing a post made there in February at all.

So unless the NEW BLOG is Facebook or a message here buried in some thread that had nothing to do with LW Next, I have no clue what you're talking about! :p:)

I love funny gifs but why is she doing that? Is it how desperately she can't stand it anymore?

The more significant changes to entire engine are done,
the longer waiting til they are properly implemented..

Don't you want to have endless updates after initial version, week by week, month by month, with fixes.. ?

Well it's nice to know it's probably in the near future. It's been a long time in coming so I'm really looking forward to see what 2 years of development will give us because this is what we will probably being using for the next 2 years. Because I do Arch Viz work for a living I will also be judging the release to see what it brings to the table for my business. Sounds like a new render engine at the very least.

I work in ArchViz as well...
I hope only the new render engine will not be slow as Arnold. Because in the blog the "setting" looks the same. I hope instead it will be more like Corona!...We'll see!;)))...

i'm leaning towards Arnold, even though something Corona like would be cool.

oh, sorry,.. speculating.

it's be nice to see a VPR interior render example in the blog. (video)

I love Arnold!!!But the problem for us ArchVizer it is not good for this field. Too slow...this why I hope something more like Corona! If not for us Lightwave Next is not convenient. What I want to say is that, I hope the speed of the engine will not super slow.
But...if we have Arnold style engine with the speed and simplicity of Corona...ok this is another story!ehehehhhe...
