When I added MODO to my toolkit there were some modeling tools that I was use to having in LightWave that wasnt available. When I started creating the Hatchet collection one of my goals was to bridge that gap. If you are also using MODO and have had teh same experience, you might be interested in someof the 130+ tools that make up the Hatchet Collection:

...and I just released an update with 17 new tools, some of which add more missing LightWave functionality to MODO:

enjoy!

Will,
Have you ever consider a LW to Modo tips and notes collection to get people who may want to use Modo with Lightwave.
Taking the best of both worlds and showing how they can complimwnt each other.

Are you happy with Nodo UV tools, do you find yourself going to a 3Dcoat to complete your UV process.

Modo UV tools are exceptional. I was using 3DCoat for UV's but have switched to using Modo for most things now. With stitching, packing, relax, tear offs, ability to conform quad grids to perfect circular or rectangular patters, Udims, as well as editing your geometry usually keeps UV info intact.

I do 100% of my UV work in MODO and I'm incredibly happy with the toolset.

Like the idea of the LW to MODO tips... great idea.

I'm not sure what program I've been using but I would love some of those in LW :P

one click fix symmetry & selection tools would be awesome.

Great work!

Proton, in Modo, do you have tool similar to LW's UVCreeper / UVspider?

I too do all UV in Modo. I purchased 3D Coat years before Modo, but I never got the hang of it. Modo made UVs easier than ever.

Modo has a tool called UVPeeler as part of the native UV set that does just this sort of thing, the ONE big difference between using LW's native tools and Modos is that numeric values can be entered to adjust size and scale and further more they do not reset to zero every time you try and tweak them, in other words they were written by a human not a monkey

There is also UV Rectangle which is a brilliant tool in MODO:

Use that feature all the time!
