I just installed XP pro and I remember reading on some forum some where in the world that you could tweak XP to run better. I was just woundering what you people suggest I turn on or turn off to get the best toaster performance on XP. Thanks

rt click desktop ->properties
appearance tab
effects button
-uncheck top
-check 2nd box, choose clear type
-uncheck3rd and 5th
click ok

I have XP, olive green, and Large fonts set for drop downs

desktop tab
customize desktop button
-uncheck run desktop wizard
click ok

click ok close, display properties

rt click my computer ->properties
advanced tab
settings button under performance
under visual effects I have 5,6,7,11,15,16 checked
click ok

click ok close system prop box.

Most of these are personal preference and you can disable all XP and switch to boring looking 2k if you want under display properties
