Been watching andromeda on youtube... with the guy who played hercules.

First two seasons have been really fun. Interesting character interactions.

Does anyone know what they used to do the effects work? It looks like lw.. but could be anything.

Looks like typicly hypervoxels, maybe even the particle effects in the end hitting the planet.

as for modeling and rendering of the andromeda ship and space shots, might be lightwave completly.

[email protected] Time 6.23 ....Yep, Lightwave Trevor Woods.

Again something that LW3DG should be promoting

before the airing it's called... Pre-Emptive Marketing.

Oh man, that was funny seeing those old dark blue LaCie monitors with the hoods... we had three of those bad-boys at a studio I worked at way back in the day... Maybe some day, if I ever have a place that has an extra room that I am not using, I have free time and some dough burning a hole in my pocket, I would love to build a little mini-museum office that would be like a mashup of a couple places I worked (ad agency, service bureau, photo/design studio) with some 90s crap like a Mac IIci, PowerMac 8600, a Pentium II, a SGI O2 workstation, a BetaSP, some Bernoulli, SyQuest, Zip and Jaz drives and disks, a film recorder, a drum scanner, a LaserMaster printer... that would be kinda cool.
