Hi All,

Just wanted to check to see if there was a way to send a program output on the Tricaster 8000 to an Apple TV device?

Thank you so much.

The AppleTV needs a server to pull a stream from, it requires more than just a TrICaster. MediaDS would be a product that could do this using it's integrated Wowza streaming server.

Theoretically, this could work -

Run Newtek NDI Monitor on a PC. This will display output of a TriCaster on same network.

Run this software on same PC to send NDI screen to AppleTV - http://www.airsquirrels.com/airparrot/features/win/

Workflow - http://www.airsquirrels.com/airparrot/faq/mirror-pc-to-apple-tv/

I don't have an AppleTV (or iPhone or iPad) to test with or would try it myself!

Thanks

Jeff

I don't have an AppleTV (or iPhone or iPad) to test with or would try it myself!I have all of the items mentioned, including AirParrot, and can confirm that this works. That said, it's not an ideal workflow. Ir would probably be pretty decent if the AppleTV and all other components were hard-wired, but I'm guessing the reason you want to use AppleTV in the first place is to go wireless? (Otherwise, why bother?)

Using Wifi, I've found AirParrot a little less satisfactory than a real AirPlay connection over wifi form an Apple device.

Another question on all of this. Do you only need to send to one AppleTV or are you thinking that multiple AppleTV's will be able to receive the stream?
