View Full Version : Lack of information on the 3Play 820

I consider myself a world class Googler and can barely find any mentions of this model on the web, and even less of them for sale. In fact a search of the entirety of Newtek forums for "820" yields exactly zero results! No mention anywhere on the Newtek site either. What gives?!
The reason I ask is that I am aggressively searching for an upgrade to my 3Play 330, and need more than four camera inputs. I thought my only option was the 4800 until I stumbled on this.

The 3PLAY 820 is the same software as found on the 3PLAY 425, but with 8 inputs instead of 4 inputs. It is a 4RU system (same size as the 4800), when the 4800 was released it replaced the 820 as the high end 3PLAY solution.

I guess I would assume, despite it's age, productions are still very happy with the product, and that would explain the lack of classifieds offering used ones?

We also offered trade-ins from 3Play 820 to 3Play 4800s.
