View Full Version : Well, We've Dropped Another Rung Down The Forum Ladder.

MediaDS just showed up with the rest of the NewTek products that have previously been moved up above all of the LightWave 3D sections. Once the "Other Products" forum (pretty much legacy stuff) gets moved, there's no farther down to sink.

I just hide the sections that I don't follow.

So do I. Not the point. And, at least here (perhaps I'm missing another setting somewhere), their headers still consume 3/4 of the screen when collapsed.

I hope after LW Next there are plans to move LW to its own forum.

Yep, that would be a welcome move.

Not sure how much interest there is in the forum across the board unfortunately. Imo it's an invaluable resource but has been sadly neglected. There have been requests for years to rejuvenate the galleries with thumbnails. There's activity on Facebook but for technical issues it's non searchable so there's a lot of useful information gradually disappearing over time in there.

CGTalk also seems much quieter these days. The officialMaya forum is ticking away but loads of technical issue posts go unanswered.

I'd like to see all the LightWave forums moved over to lightwave3d.com instead of mixed in here with all the other unrelated NewTek forums.

Here's a blog post (http://dreamlight.com/how-to-search-for-new-posts-in-specific-vbulletin-forums-like-lightwave-3d/) on how to at least do a "new-posts" search without having to wade through all the other forums' posts.
