View Full Version : curves do not cross correctly-damn splines =)

Ok, so i am modeling a gasmask right, with all those little curves and junk, and it's all going good, im planning to make red eyes inside and a black nbody and use it as a forum sig, anyways i go to make the plines have, err... poly's inside them (Ctrl F) and i click knots and like 10 by 10 and it goives me some BS about Curves not crossing correctly so im like oh i must hafta put it on length. i try that, no succes. I go the almight manual and what do i find? nothing. Not in the index, not in the glossary, and i tread under the splines section but i didn't remember it mentioning it. So im like... duhhhh.... forums! show me where can i get a screenshot maker of my desktop and i'll provide images

Look up Spline patching in the manual. It's in the organic modelling section.

1) you need at least 3 curves
2) All your curves must share the end points.
3) the sections inside the curves must all create a quad (poligono de 4 sides)
4) select (clockwise to your viewpoint to make the normals point to you) the curves you want to patch and then apply the patch.
5) take a look at the manual again

Ok i have had the same problems, aaahh how frustrating i gues i missed this step
