View Full Version : Reset Main Camera Defaul to Origin (or closer to origin)

Hi All,

NQA. [Noob Question Alert]

When a new Lightwave scene opens, the camera is approx. 11 meters from the scene's origin, I guess for camera mapping a large background scene. For me this is useful for about 50% of my scenes. For my other scenes, how do I reset or adjust this default camera position to be closer to the origin?

I found a hotkey shortcut legend (http://www.g-3d.com/Newer_AAC_3d_360_shortcuts.html), but F2 doesn't work for layout.

You could use the Default scene option. I think it works by you saving a scene file called Default.lws and enabling that option in the Options panel.

FYI, when you first start layout and then load an object, the camera will automatically move to center on the object. If you key the camera before loading the object then your camera won't auto compensate.

Modify/general/reset ?

In preferences edit keyboad shortcuts, search for reset and map it to whatever key you like.
