Ok. I made a simple 10 sec clip for an intro of a christmas special using lightwave 7. How do I get my animation from lightwave to vhs. Can I simply use an s-video out to a vhs deck? And if so, what program do I use to get it transfer out of that port. I know I sound like an idiot, but hey, we all start somewhere right?

Im using a digital video camera attached to the computer via firewire and then putting my animation into a video editing package such as premiere/final cut or imovie which will print it direct to the video camera from which I can then record onto VHS. It seems the easiest solution to me.
Hope that helps.

ok, that sounds easy enough.

What format should I save my animation in to get it into Adobe Premiere?

If you rendered out to TGA files, then premiere will just see that series of files as a clip..

A faster way without much encoding for the video would be to export it as an avi and use the microsoft DV1 codec, and unless you have a video card or something like that, putting it on a miniDV camera would be best.
