good to know, and textured based, I rather use simple modeling and the subdivide/make pole command followed by point normal, makes sharp knurling, or just use bevel if you want a facett on the knurling edges instead of sharp knurling, if the amount of polys allows it ..I prefer the real modeled knurling variant.
