View Full Version : CRASH FEST - Raycast + displacement

I had this idea for animation and I thought it would be quite simple to setup in Lightwave, however mixing any sort of displacement and using it on mesh that drives instances via raycast is just making Layout crazy unstable.
I'm talking about v2015.

It will even crash 6/10 times when opening the scene itself, sometime when you open the scene everything seems to be fine...unless you scrub the timeline...not to mention trying to change the settings in the displacement nodes or texture...

So, just a small precaution.

Raycast + displacement is a really bad idea.
