Hi,

Can anyone please tell me if Lightwave 11.6.3 has the ability to Mirror Weight Maps ? I used to have a plugin for this back in the day.

Thank you in advance.

if you have symmetrical geometry ..you can use js_symmx mirror ..which symmetrize the whole object, but deletes half the object and corrects it, including pasting in mirror weights, may not be ideal if you only want weight mirrored.

Otherwise check these..

It can tolerate different points order, or even different number of points. ) http://forums.newtek.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=50817&d=1190976302

Other shoot from the hip searches...

The symmxmirror plugin is useful for other reasons though :D

I tried using the old copy paste, mirror and merge points method, which seems to work combined with Copy Vertex Map. Not a great workaround, but good for now :D

what is not working..which plugin, and the copyweight needs lw modeler 32 which you should have installed since simply so many plugins are not available for 64 bit still in these days.

so there shouldn´t be anything wrong with the installation, works in 2015.3 anyway 32 bit.

you have to manually search for the tools, go to edit menu and search paste, and it should deliver results..under the nitisara tools, you then drag the paste weight and paste symmetrical to a new tab you create or under maps to acess them.

However, I noticed it pastes the weight map but simply flips it or erase the original one...and that is not what I would want, which means you have to create additional weigthmap.

I'm using the 64 bit version to take advantage of more memeory for displacement.
