I have installed the NDI Tools on our Laptop for getting PowerPoint to TriCaster. Should I also install NDI Connect on the Laptop also. Had some lag time with PPT and thought that the Connect tool may help.

Try setting the "use high frame rate" check box in NDI scan converter. NDI connect is used to convert IP to SDI cards or SDI input to IP, webcam to IP etc. not for your screen grab.

Latency/dropped frames with NDI is almost always down to network bandwidth problems.

Yes, make sure you both ends of the network connection (the laptop with PPT and TriCaster) are reporting gigabit speed Ethernet.

Having a related problem. Trying to get a decent image from my computer desktop to Tricaster 460 using NDI, and quality is just completely unusable. I have tried multiple computers, different resolutions and scan rates. Both Tricaster and laptop are plugged into the same gigabit switch. Same setup through iVGA used to be great. Now just very pixelated. Any thoughts?
