You could really classify LWCad as a complete CAD system that just happens to reside inside of LW, it's that comprehensive. Calling it a plug-in doesn't do it justice. :)

Hey, does anyone know if there is (or will be) a path to export the nurbs created with LWCad to something like solidworks?

nurbs-surface them then export obj format or whatever , no?

Currently there is no way to export Nurbs to another application where you can import them as Nurbs. I can't speak to what Viktor has planned for future releases. Currently you would need to freeze the nurbs into polygons and export them as a polygonal object.
