hi there, anyone knows what font the user interface font is...

MS Sans Serif is a close match, but it seems to be only a close match... any ideas?

the q didnīt look right in match though, so maybe arial, but I am just speculating in pure faith or estimating, and that is evil since it may get you on the wrong path..to conclude, I donīt know a thing about what it truly is :)

the "C" gives it away... testing a bit more...

I tried to look in the config files, but canīt find any font text string at all, I looked in the manuals, nothing, I googled..not much than actual fonts for text..not for UI, sounds weird this isnīt described somewhere..I havenīt browsed the forums though.
I can see that tahoma doesnīt have the same letter "a"...so it is probably not it anyway.
neither arial, neither myriad pro.
checked through all my illustrator fontīs but neithr matches.

Note...if I check tahoma in our edit panel here for the messages, the letter "a" is indeed how it looks in the lightwave UI, but in my illustrator it is more round bent than the lightwave UI font.

Looks kind of Helvetica too.

yeah, could be, but i doubt it, i think the license for the Helvetica font would be quite high.

Maybe. The "C" looks a little different from Helvetica...so many fonts out there.

don't know if this actually works, but have you tried fontsquirrel?

I got this using the font identifier:
https://www.fontsquirrel.com/matcherator?matcherator_img=xx37fmc6wju0srm90a3t0d niwpm3tobg#scroll_to_matches

yes, did try, but the OCR and algorithm is never accurate enough.

but i'll leave it for now. i actually ended up with the first font, MS Sans Serif, the closest match on a small scale (~10pixels)

thanks all for helpin  :)
