Monthly fee... hmmmm not liking that.. especially for hobby users. But that crap looks amazing.

There are several subscriptions, and for those who prefer a purchase packs there.

For those who have a license of Quixel Suite 1 or 2, one month free subscription is available.

Been messing around with it a bit in the 3rd party software section.

Pretty cool the amount of detail you can get for little effort...

The subscription thing is not bad and you can always outright buy packs of varying level of detail. As an owner of the suite, I did get a month free with 50 points to spend, but I also bought the wasteland pack outright for 140 or something like that - well worth it to have access to that kind of detailed assets; parts of which, like alphas you can use in other apps like 3d coat to sculpt.

Well worth it for some of the best scanned geo and textures out there... I will simply buy other packs as my budget allows. I am not worried about the memebership - which you don't have to use. Once you buy the assets, they are yours to use forever.

Oh and it has only been out a week or so and they already have a big update with more export options, and like 100 new scans or something like that..

Wonderful assets to play around with and at a price where one could actually afford to play and not thinking about a paying gig.

The only problem I have is I need a faster internet connection for when I am downloading assets. The cool thing is using the online editor, you can just pick and choose what to download (I go for everything so the download takes longer). Then you can manage the asset with the local programs Megascan Studio and Megascan Bridge to manage your assets.

Pretty cool piece of kit.

Also deceptively powerful to create whole other textures using scans to produce something completely different...
