Hi all, end of week LW share!

A recently finished "unboxing" ad for David Bowie's Who Can I Be Now boxset.

Started in AE for this one, getting the compositions right for each scene. Data sent to LW and swopped out for 3d models for some nice lighting and animation tweaking. Back to AE for further environment (albeit limited!) and grading. Hope you like!

Nice work, Mark. Maybe a good entry in an upcoming LightWave Magazine...

Thanks all! I've got a couple of interchange tips to share, which I'm hoping to do over the weekend. I'll post when ready.

Nice job Mark! Did you use any templates for animation or was it all hand keyed? I like the book turning pages.

Very cool spot. It's really pretty which I think works well with who David Bowie was as an artist.

Cheers js33. Hand keyed for the majority. I worked backwards with the "group" shots, getting the end positions arranged first then animated. Must recommend Ryan Royes Translate/Rotate average, so good for handling a lot of objects at the same time and adding in a touch of randomness.

Used a new technique for the pages, basically 1 object using DP Kit/Rotate and a weight map (created using TrueArts WeightPolygonGroups) to isolate the pages. 3rd Powers Lattice Deformer to get the bends. A lot of plugs, I know, but can now bang these out in 20 mins with loads of flexibility so they've saved me a ton of time/money in the long run. I'll do I break down of that too, if I get time (but I'm aware I have far to many of these page turning experiments on YT already!).

Thanks ernpchan. It was a great piece to work on. Once I found colours that made the artwork pop then it was pretty plain sailing :D

Thanks for the overview Mark. Yes plugins can save a lot of time vs doing it all manually.
