View Full Version : Camera Clipping in Orthographic camera.

Hi. Here's a screen capture of the othographic camera looking at a bunch of cubes. Notice that the cubes get clipped below the center line of the image, they should fill up the entire frame. I can't lower the fixed clip distance any lower, if I go into negative values the clipping just gets reversed in the opposite direction. What's the ultimate solution here?

It also renders this way.

The only thing I could come up with was to use a perspective camera instead.

Which isn't really what I want because I'm trying to totally eliminate any actual perspective.

its because your camera is at the centre of the cubes, the ortho image starts at the centre of the camera, move the camera back from the cubes (its actually a good way to create animated cutaways, if you move the camera toward an object you can gradually cut it open like a clip map)

Thanks, actually my camera wasn't in the middle, but close enough to cause the problem, so moving it away does fix the problem. Thanks for that.
