View Full Version : LW to Nuke (camera animation and compositing)

I'm rendering a sequence of a camera taking an aerial shot down on some landscape and I'd like to add some things in comp, such as clouds, helicopter or plane, birds.. You name it.

I have exported the camera animation as FBX and confirmed it goes into Nuke, but I've never handled this kind of compositing before.

What I think I should do is make a card with say, a cloud, and place it. But how on earth do I get the card to be positioned correct to get rid of sliding?

I guess this is sort of Nuke 101, but I've never done it this way with full CG where the other elements I want to comp are not rendered in LightWave and thus is a simple 2D comp.

With a total lack of time to test more, I've just started rendering over again with deep EXR.
