This is awesome and excellent planning. Is this possible in Lightwave or any plugin to support this kinda flip animation.

That might've been done with C4D, but in truth you're looking at a full blown production, months of planning and a number of hands involved all working under someones direction. Good luck pumping out something at that level as a one man band.

Yes. Done in cinema4D. I also checked the flip work..in cinema 4D it's a detailed one and need a team with the skill set.
No. I am not in that level but just thought of giving myself a try for a simple project here in lightwave. seems that is not easy.

Very impressive video! As others mentioned, this was done by a lot of people creating a lot of models and animations with a production level organization. Or, one person with a LOT of time on their hands! :)

discusses box folding. I posted a sample scene which uses weightmaps and a bone hierarchy (created using skelegons in Modeler) to fold a box. The basic approach is to assign each "flap" to be folded a unique weightmap and create a skelegon to control each flap. Then, in Layout, set the bones (from skelegons) to only affect the appropriate flap's weightmap, create a hierarchy of bones so "subflaps" follow their parent until folded, and then animate the bones in sequence.

In the video all the objects are comprised of paper with no thickness, so the geometries can be planar and the weightmap / bone approach should work great. I've attached a re-post of the sample scene I posted in that thread.
