I am having difficulty in getting Dr. Wheel rotator to function

Test Scene
1. Propeller parented to motor
2. Prop motion added Relativity Dr. Wheel Rotator
3. rotation set on Pitch set the parent object motor and size 7cm
4. set test frames 120
5. motor is key framed 0 and frame 120 so I t moves within camera view

scrub the motor from 0 to 120 the prop follow motors but does not rotate

what am I missing

this is odd,

created a simple disk sent to layout added a null parent the disk to null. Add relativity wheel rotator the disk and parent null. left default size a 1.0. setup null to move from frame 0 to 120 and scrubbed the disk rotates the way it is suppose to work

Took the prop and saved as a standalone object sized to 1 meter, imported into layout added null and applied the setting from above (default)....scrubbed the null and the prop will not rotated.

This is too frustrating any thoughts please

Hi there,

I have the exact same problem. What did you do to resolve the problem?
Thank you!

Hi Koen,

you could also link a wheel ( disk ) to a null using the same as item feature in the motions panel.
Just link the parent null movement axis to the rotation of the child ( wheel ) and use the
multiply to adjust the rotationspeed ( you can calculate this btw ).

And if you have Lw2015 take a look at this ;)

Works like a real car.
