Thinking of upgrading my graphics card from a GTX 285 1gig card to a GTX 750 ti 4gig card. Will lightwave see any benifit from the upgrade. I know rendering is CPU based. Kind of hoping the 4gig will help.

It's going to be a heck of a lot faster. More VRAM is always good.

I have a 4Gig GTX card, it's very powerful for being middle of the road. In short I love it. I can do some decent hardware rendering with it too!

I have a GTX 750ti but it's a 2GB card, are you sure yours is 4GB?

edit: nevermind I just checked and there's Asus and gigabyte offering 4GB 750ti's. Enjoy!

The 4gig version of the GTX 750ti is a bit rare - always sold out. It arrives Monday. Looking forward to giving it a good test run.

Why buy such a watered down card when you could get a 970 for about $250 unless cost was the deciding factor?

Purchase was based on price. To bring the graphics card up todate as much as possible for 100 UK pounds. In the next year or two I'm looking into a whole new machine which will be based on the new version of Lightwave Next, 4k editing and FXs software. So this is the last upgrade it'll have, unless a harddrive fails.
