View Full Version : object sequence surface and fluid simulation

Im trying to make a realflow simulation work on my render farm. I couldnt make the simulation to work following RF instruction. The only way to make it work that I have found is to export an obj sequence and load it with the object sequence in layout.
This method works but to assign a single surface to the objects (nearly 400) I couldn't find a better way than loading 100 of them in the layout copy a single surface from an object and past to them ,then save all objects and go on...
Is there a tool or a way to have the object sequence to share the same surface.
This is what RF plugin does when you import a mesh sequence, but unfortunately it doesen't work in the network rendering...

Any suggestion?

Here (http://forums.newtek.com/showthread.php?148892-Blender-Fluids-OBJ-Sequences-Surfacing) is a topic that could be helpful and here (http://forums.newtek.com/showthread.php?148892-Blender-Fluids-OBJ-Sequences-Surfacing&p=1455884&highlight=#post1455884) is the way I proceed in such situation.

I also have a script on my site to batch copy surfaces from one object to a sequence. I don't know if it's faster or slower than all the other options out there.

I will try soon your suggestions and script!
