Is there a "one-click Reverse Hieararchy"?

Is it even logically possible? If a parent has multiple child items, and then say the child items have child items... how would it know which one was the parent? Or put another way, it can't make multiple child items the parent.

Put another way, if you only have a series of single parent child items... one on top of the other e.g.:-

Then maybe there might be a solution, but if your heirachy looks like this :-

How do you specify that the one marked with the tick is the parent, and what becomes of the other end of chain Child items? They can't all be parents in an inverted hierachy... if you see what I'm getting at.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think chances are high of there being a one click solution.
But then, I'm usually wrong when I say that sort of thing, so you might just be in luck! :)

As Kaptive says... if there are things nested in amongst... such a tool would have no way to figure it out, you have to be able to give it some manner of instruction about which items are to be moved, and to which others...

Rigging toolbox to the rescue again...

I was guilty of thinking of only the simplest situation: a straight "n items, each n+1 being the child of the nth".

I will look into Rigging Toolbox RH.
