Please help!

I have a cylinder already uv Mapped with the surface already set.
My cylinder have 16 edge around and no edge between to and bottom (This is intentional)

I need now to add edges to precise map position. I only know the modeler knife tool to do that but when slicing my uv get destroyed.... :(

I hope somebody will give me hint or point me to a plugin that can slice polygon and keep the uv intact.

By the way it is a wish list for Modeler Next ;)
And more easy uv tools...

Thanks!

well i solved my problem,

i get the result by doing the knife operation with sub D off..

But still get trouble with the UV sliding every time i add a new slicing.

Maybe there is a wonderfull plugin somewhere that can help me.

Thanks

You could get the plugin Modo ... joking. But seriously, LWG really needs to evaluate and update UV'ing in LW. :)

I know the unwelding trick but in the recent updates when you merge vertices again but without selecting them first, the UV map
gets a HUGE mess. If you select the points of the model and merge then it is okay.

Heh. Fully agree. In my case I found the "UV plugin" 3D Coat to be a cheaper alternative than MODO. ;)
