For Redshift renderer this means one card will equal a renderfarm. Sweet for maya users. :thumbsup:

Newtek needs to look at gpu rendering NOW or convince Redshift to port to lw(they're working on c4d atm).
The pbr renderer will be obsolete before it becomes production ready.

Wouldn't it work just as well with Octane?

I'll reserve judgement because whenever I get excited by figures like 10x, it usually turns out that there is one very specific, very very niche calculation that gets the 10x and all real world stuff gets 1.2x. But I really really hope this is actually true.

I does seem kind of crazy that they plan to sell $15000 computers with 4 Titan X cards when you'll get 2.5x more power from a single card in just a couple of months.

Yes it would work well with octane but

Redshift>Octane

Too bad we don't have it for lw.
