Have a model made of separate parts.
The parts originally had unique UV names.
They were combined into a single UV map with the name of the model "Torch".

However, some of the old UV part names are showing in the Surface editor.
The UV's do not exist and the names only show but do not cause problems.
I would like to delete them so the model is clean when I share it.
I cannot figure out how to do that...any suggestions?
Thanks Much!

Unused in the surface editor will usually be deleted on restart.

What you showed is not UV map. It's normal vertex map.

To get rid of unused vertex normals, you should use Delete Vertex Map plugin..
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TS2lsN5WMpE

It's part of TrueArt's Modeling Pack
http://modelingpack.trueart.eu

It has filters, and allows deleting internal vertex maps such as Normal vertex maps.

I don't know of any other tool to get rid of them.

Can't you just get rid of them directly in the Vertex Maps Panel window?

meshpig...Thanks for your reply! No The map names are there whenever I load the model.

Sensei...Thank you for your reply. Yes you are right those are normal vertex maps...my mistake.
But The True Art Modeling Pack is $300 and I simply cannot afford it.

DUH! I've been using Lightwave for years and I never even gave your question/solution a thought!
Of course it's as simple as that! Thank you for taking the time to reply and for your solution!!

I love this community!! :beerchug:

It appears so it was added just recently. LW v10.0 didn't have it. LW v11+ has this vertex normal listed in Vertex Panel.

Hi Sensei,
I'm guessing TrueArt is your company?
I really do wish I had the money for your plugins...They do look really great!
Easy Spline is especially intriguing...maybe one day!

Cheers!
