Two quick questions.
First is about flocking. I did a few tuts and ,unless I'm misunderstanding something, I don't know how to apply it to an object. I have a flying critter I want to swarm. I believe I went to object properties and added flocking and a director. I play with the panel it opens and I see the wireframe result. How do I get this applied to the object? I feel I'm missing something simple, like an activate button.
Second these will be swarming up a spiral staircase.I need to make a spiral staircase. Any one have a simple way this can be accomplished instead of one step at a time? Even staircases in general, is there a easier way?
Thanks
Bill

For a regular staircase, just extrude a profile.

For a spiral (and i suspect there's a video somewhere) you can use CLONE ARRAY to get the treads, and RAIL EXTRUDE to get the railing. You're in luck! A new free tool has arrived that will help making the rail a snap!:

Otherwise, use HELIX CLONE just to get the curve. Heck, HELIX CLONE may work for the treads too.

Two quick questions.

What, exactly, IS a "quick question" anyway????? What makes it "quick", and for whom? I see this so many times...
