I have a uv layout done in modeler, but when i export the mesh into a other app i get problems in the uv layout with poly going weird. I exported in obj, fbx, dae etc....131329

Does some one has a clue on how to solve this?

Sometimes Create Uv's buy unwelding the parts then uv mapping them.

Then merging when done uv mapping.

you exporting to SP right??

I use PLG_UV Tools

They work better for UV mapping.

I know where you are at, I have the same problems you have UV mapping.

Just have to try a few different ways of setting up the UV's.

did a search awhile ago and did find some pretty good tid bits for setting up maps for certain situations.

UVLayout is an awesome program try the demo..

Try Unweld points,
then Merge Points,
export again.
Do you still have problem?

ps. Also open Polygon Statistics (if you don't have it all the time open), and check whether there are any 1-2 point polygons.

I still cannot get my uv properly, as i re did the uv layout 5 times, cleaning and taking the points lefts alone in the uv space, clearing them or not, welding or not, verifying all in the statistics panel and so on... i must be missing a few point as i cannot get a proper uv space in other software... as it is messed up (maybe in the export)

SP? (Probably staring me in the face, just can't put my finger on it)

Yeah it looks like a unweld/weld thing. Unweld (actually we're talking about groups of polys here so it's more of a cut 'n paste thing)> unwrap > weld. Don't think u can just unweld and reweld after the map is done.....

But also......Could it be a map interpolation issue? I see your model is SubD but the maps aren't.
