View Full Version : Select by vertex color value

Is there anyway to select by vertex color value? Every vertex on my model has a value in the same vertex color map. I need to eliminate the map on the vertex's that have a value of r:0, g:0, b:0

Thanks in advance!

Not sure, don't have any Lightwave here at the moment, but you have "Select by vertex map" I think it's called to select using weight maps values, not sure if that works with color maps also, it should be in the select tab.

as you are talking about 0 value data, just use a gradient or logic to output anything over 0 using the vertex map as an input, no?

Well the vertex color map has vertex color information for every point on the mesh. The vertices with a vertex color of white need to be removed from the vertex map...they don't need color information. The vertex map really contains three colors white, magenta and pure red. The white points should actually have no rgb values.
I was hoping you could select by vertex color.
