I got a mailout telling me that all Tool Chef (https://www.toolchefs.com/) tools are today free.

"Today is a big day!
All our tools are now FREE!"

Their webpage seems to be messed up. I "registered," and confirmed my reg, but I can't log in or access the downloads. Welcome to Wordpress. :-(

I could, try again. The Harmonic deformer plugin has an installer that Windows protects me against using, the other two plugins are normal drag and drop plugins. The most useful for me is the lattice cage plugin. The sketch drag tool is one I'm not sure how to operate.

Perhaps because I was already registered for their newsletter I never had a problem logging in. It would be quite frustrating since these are now all free. I zipped them, I guess it's okay for me to do this.

I was asked to remove file, sorry, my bad. Apologies.

I suppose you should "break" the link after today :)

Thanks guys and sorry for the issue. It's now fixed. Wordpress messed up our website in one of its last updates.
Our plug-ins are free from now on, not just today.

djwaterman, please remove the link as it is against our terms of agreement to distribute our plug-ins from other websites (unless you have permission from us).

Thanks,
Daniele

Watched the videos again... we REALLY have an embarrassment of free tools. Remembering them is the tough part. The "Sketch" tool in the Toolchefs package look very interesting, if I can just remember to USE it.

What do you guys do to remember the HUNDRED of tools we have at our disposal??

THANKS to Toolchef for their generous gift.

Thank you! I can't believe I missed this previously, I have wanted a lattice in modeler for a long time and this one works great!

I was pondering this yesterday when I downloaded a few plugins/scripts and they were already stored. Only thing I can think of is to generate a database that has a series of keywords that describe the categories and functionalities of a plugin or script. Then, you input term X, term Y and term Z and the database returns a list of hits that would jog your memory so you could install it or look for it if already installed.

Sad to see that these guys have to give these tools up for free. :/

True, but I sure didn't HEAR about them before.

Sales: it's tough.

I dunno...
I hope this just means what it has in the past: another lil group has been bought out by LWG and their tools and other IP are part of the new-ness we get to have with the next version.

Seen this before; remember tuff lil'unit?

Nonetheless, Piddu has always offered some cool stuff and this is appreciated, too.
