I am looking for an old plugin or LScript that would make the end of a rod into a series of quads for smooth sub d.
You select the points in turn and hit the plugin, a dialog allowed a choice of methods for making the quads.
Anyone remember the name of that plug or script or who make it?
I had it but lost it along the way. Now I would really like to have it again.

Thanks much,
RonB

Do you mean that it caps a tube?

This won't make the polygon but it gives you options on how to cut up the polygon.

You could try quadskin. https://www.lightwave3d.com/assets/plugins/entry/quad-skin/

djwaterman_ Yes essentially it caps a tube. You create a disc, extrude it, delete the ngons at the ends. Select the points of an end in sequence and start the plugin. It caps the end with quads.

ernpchan_Thank you! Polydivide is not the plug but does the same thing and will work fine...much appreciate it. :)

quad skin patcher have options..quadskin divides more like julienne sort of.

Canīt find the origin of it in the database of plugins..maybe somewhere else?

Whao! prometheus that is the one!!
Wow, thank you so much!!
Besides just making sub-d ends on tubes, as the video shows this little LS can do some other pretty cool things.

Thanks again, you made me a happy guy.... and Cheers, RonB

As much as I like scripts, it's very hard to find them and determine which one does the job better. There's so many it's hard to wade through them all.
Since I've been using Lightwave again for the last two weeks, I've had probably 2 out of 3 plugins not work.
I know the plugin list shows the LW version, but it would be nice if we could sort by version too.

Yes, I know what you mean Schwyhart. But scripts generally work in all versions, not so for plugins.
The old plugin place...forgot the name already...that William Vaughan, owned was great for that.
But there are lots of good scripts and plugins out there.
Though I must say, not so much like there was.

TMK William Vaughan never had a plugin-oriented website.

The LightWave Plugin Database was bought by Newtek and can now be found here >
https://www.lightwave3d.com/assets/plugins

"The LightWave Plugin Database" was/is better than "Flay"

SpinQuad never had a Plugin database, and wasn't too active on that area.

there is also this LightWave dude "erikalst" that makes plugin review videos every now and then...
mostly Modeler plugins though...
