We have been on a couple of events where we would have benefited from the ability to crop and re-size our outputs.
In one instance, we used ouyr system as a 'double switcher'. Our main switch was at 1080p feeding local and some distance rooms over fiber, then we used one of our M/Es and macros to switch between a camera, PPT (Network) and DDRs for an internal webcast. Unfortunately, their webcast system only could deal with a 4:3 image. We had to stretch our M/E output to give the image the correct proportions.
It worked out fine, but it would have been cool to be able to simply send their encoder the correct signal using a adjusted image on the VGA output.

ps -It was pretty cool to be able to have the tricaster take the place of 2 switchers. One operator using the control surface for regular switch and then keyboard macros to switch for the webcast. Previously they used a blackmagic, an additional operator and a bunch of DAs to switch for their webcast.
Thanks Newtek!
