I recently purchased A PTZ Optics 20x-SDI camera to be used in our live sports productions. So far I have not been able to get the camera to connect to the system via ethernet. After contacting NewTek support I was advised to post in the Tricaster feature request forum describing my issue with the hope that support for this camera will be added in the PTZ control settings. Once I check the PTZ option in camera settings and select the Sony(Visca) protocols I am left with a constant "Camera 4 is connecting" message. PTZ Optics lists that their cameras use Visca control protocols for their RS232 and RS485 connections but does not list protocols for ethernet control. I was hoping NewTek could possibly look into this and attempt to provide support for these PTZ cameras.

Hi Josh,

Check with Rocosoft.com for a solution. They are actually partnered with PTZ Optics.

Nick at Rocosoft.com is great and worked with me personally on a custom TriCaster-integrated solution to my client's specific needs.

Thanks
