Is there a way to animate the total number of instances? I've looked in LW native and DP instancer but cant seem to find a way. Doesn't even seem to be any nodal inputs either, am I missing something?

I just added a particle emitter to the object and attached the instancer to those. Then I animated the particle birth rate. Seems kind of a silly way to go about it, why not just add an envelope to the instance amount?

If you animate the Weight value you can change the amount over time.

Yes, but this animates them in at random, in random locations. I want them to come in by point #.

Feel you pain squarewulf. Only solution is to use instance ID to scale it to 0 or make it transparent.

Use the Instance Index output in the node editor as A input
of a logic node (if Index is inferior or equal to..),
a constant node with an envelope
for animating (growing) the B input (max index),
plug the output (0 or 1) in weight of native Instancer
or enable state of DP Instancer.

Ok looks like I'm late but also just setup a scene with two methods, transparency and scale.

Thank you so much probiner and Denis! Works like a charm. I really need to brush up on my lw nodes.

Edit: and Shiny_Mike

I am always impressed with the lw community, a group of very talented people indeed!
