It's great that there's metadata on each input that can drive LiveText through Datalink.

However, if cameras on the inputs aren't dedicated AND you're using the PTZ system, it would be fantastic if each preset had metadata too. This way, as a camera points to a specific guest or shot, for example, the metadata from the preset could drive LiveText to have the correct name for the lower third. An valuable alternative to a direct Datalink feed would be to set an index number that would move the 'current' selected item in the GFX1/2 players.

Just a little thought and my $0.02.

I know I could use this for my PBS talk show, as it would make my job that much simpler.

Just use Macros and you could do exactly this right now. I setup our local City Council chambers to do exactly that.

My Camera Commander app can do this. The each preset has two fields that you can fill in with your own information and when you select that preset it will send into the TriCaster via Datalink.
