Hi,


I was doing some test with instancing and rendering animations;
two things:

Animating the Time Offset parameter seems to creates render artifacts (light/shadow flickering in between frames)
local render on one machine takes into account all instances setting ( random rotation, nodes,etc), network rendering does not , it ignores scaling, rotating, offset & rotation alignment set to Path ..

Any ideas ?

What are you using to generate your instances? If you're using ParticleFX or Flocking, you should bake it before submitting it for network rendering.

I think Time Offsetting in Instances is broken in general. If I animate an items pitch and time offset I get the instances pitch in the opposite direction all at the same time before the Time Offset kicks in. I put a bug report in a while back but it's still broken. I've been going nodal since then.

Thanks guys, I'll try the nodal only approach, maybe that solves it :)
