View Full Version : Instances texturing question

Can Instances take on the texture image color of the polygons they are attached to? I can make that happen using a simple planer map on my base polygon mesh and copy the surface attributes of my base polygons to my instanced geometry and turning on World Coordinates in the image texture editor. But I'm unable to get the same effect when my polygons have a UV map applied. Is there a way to do it? Thanks.

Unsure of the difference between the two approaches, but there was a thread where I believe it was JoePoe who made first a flag and then a folded up multi-color image terrycloth towel using instances.
