View Full Version : Transparency causes bright areas

I've got a strange situation where an object with a transparency map is creating a bright spot on the object beneath it. This only happens when 'Raytrace Transparency' is turned on in the Render Globals pane.

Here's a sample render with 'Raytrace Transparency' turned on:

And here's the same scene with 'Raytrace Transparency' turned off:

Any ideas of what could be going on? I need to leave 'Raytrace Transparency' turned on for other objects in the scene. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Raise your Ray Recursion Limit.
