View Full Version : FeatureReq: Full size/screen size "image view" vuport in LWM

When I'm modeling I often use the Windoze utility PREVIEW to keep large images of whatever I'm referencing available. BUT this is rather clumsy-- since it's another program, the LWM ui keeps getting in the way.

It'd be nice if one could have the reference images full and/or screen size inside the Modeler UI to take a look at, without it being a backdrop image. I don't want the mesh to get in the way of viewing the image.

So my suggestion is a resizable, independent viewport that can hold an image. Think of it as a very very large thumbnail. Options would include levels of zoom, panning, and auto-size-to-fit.
