View Full Version : struggle with basic sub-d task / miter cut

I have a bar model with a 45 degree miter cut at each end.
My goal is that the "rounding" introduced through sub-d looks equal at all edges.
It works well for the 90 degree edges (2), but I can't get the 45 degree and 135 degree
edges (1) at the ends to look right. Does anybody have an idea how to place the vertices?

Looks to me like the distances to the edges of the block are not equal to each other. The ones on 2 are closer than the ones on 1. This creates a tighter curve on 2.

Got it in the end (still not perferct but good enough for me).
