Hi,

it's weekend so time to play with LW.
I tried to simulate paint which is not as smooth as e.g. a car ones.
Maybe you know this type of paint you find on industrial machines. It often has some kind of dented surface.
I tried a lot of procedual texture nodes but can't get it right. The bumps are either to hard edged or to regular or look llke worms, or are to big or to small etc.

Does anybody have a tip for me? Can be with IWF2 as I have those nodes (e.g. the example is IWF2_Pebbles).

Surface is currently with no roughness (bumps with reflection already create an nice reflection blurred appearance) and only lit by exr in textured environment.

You mean like hammerite...

Crumple, multifractal, turbulent noise... any of those should serve just fine.

IFW2 dent node seems to be the way to go :-)

That's a nice little render.

Thanks :)

It's a native LW render lit by an exr mapped on a surrounding sphere. No postwork (except for assigning adobe RGB ICC tag to the jpg).
