View Full Version : Surface/Displacement (type) Eiditors: pasting multiple layers / bug?

Just tried to COPY a two layer displacement textures from the Displacement channel to the Color channel.

IOW: copy all layers, paste all layers.

Unfortunately, this seems (tried it twice) to lose the values in one of the layers, a gradient layer.

Anyone else experience this?

Think I saw what you're working with in another thread. I think you're losing the negative value on the gradient yes? Which makes sense in color channel.

---That makes total sense. However, some sort of alert woulda been nice.

::sigh:: Shouldn't the STATUS LINE be used a bit more for "hey, dood,..." type notificiations?

On second thought, one of the subtle charm of LW/LWM is how you can put in nonsensical values for some parameters, and eventually they prove useful (to some geniuses, and I copy them).

So, BOOOOOO! The gradient should be copied AS-IS, even if it doesn't make sense. (But there should be a (optional) status line warning.)
