Currently using LW 2015.2 and I'm following this tutorial (part 1 (http://www.digitalproducer.com/articles/viewarticle.jsp?id=35883) part 2 (http://www.digitalproducer.com/article/Deformation-Along-a-Path-in-LightWave[8]-Part-2-35954)) that uses DStorm's Trailer (http://www.dstorm.co.jp/dsproducts/FreePlugins/Displacement/Trailer.html) to try and animate some bars that curve along a path. Downloaded the plugin, unzipped it to my plugins folder, and added it in Layout through Utilities -> Plugins -> Edit Plugins. LW found 2 plugins from the file (which it should). Searching in the Edit Plugins window shows Trailer.p installed, but I can't find Trailer in any of the menus. I know normally added plugins get put in Utilities -> Plugins -> Additional, but it's not there. Also searching through the Configure Menu, both through the search bar and by hand, comes up empty too. Restarting LW Layout doesn't remedy the situation either. I know it's an older plugin, could that be the problem?

I know there's other tutorials out there to do the same thing (which I'm going through), but I want to know why Layout's acting weird.

You can get to Trailer via the Object Properties>Deform>Add Displacement pulldown.

Ahhhh. Makes sense. I guess that's what happens when you try to use something that only has documentation in Japanese.

I think I'm going to go the Spline Control method because it looks pretty sweet and somewhat simple.
