Hi all !!!
I am using lightwave 9.6
I am using crestline's excellent humanoid object
I am using Timothy Albee's book : lw 3d 8 character animation
I had all these for a long time, but was intimidated to use them.
Today for the first time, I started posing the humanoid following
the instructions on the character animation book.
I was surprised very easily. It was very easy to pose the human
just by rotating the bones. I was able to make many poses from the book,
including the karate kid's crane pose. I made many poses, they all look super.
I am very excited now, ready to spend everyday making poses with lightwave.
I am looking forward to master character animation.
Cheers !!!

Yeah cheers to that. Same book that got me started with Character Animation. Regardless of what rig you use or software, the exercises in that book are the fundamentals. I still use these concepts. Of course they are based on traditional techniques that you can put together from a century of recourses on the subject. But how Timothy packaged them into the context of using 3D rigs and characters is extremely valuable and probably one of the more under-rated resources on the subject in my opinion.

I got something to share:

I've been going thru my character animation scenes, and found that some of my scenes really suck, really no good.
At the same time, however, some of my scenes really rock. The motion is amazing in some of my scenes !!!
I am very happy with this, I will keep working on my character animation skills.
