Add a null. Put FX / Wind on that null. Change the wind type to Explosion , or Vortex.

Save scene. Reload scene. The wind defaults back to "Direction" mode. That's not cool.

Bug??

And it happens on multiple machines... anyone else getting this to happen? Pretty sure it's a bug.. now if I can remember how to report them!

I believe they are phasing it out in favor of having users just report their bug reports/feature requests directly through their user page on the Lightwave3d.com website. Good move in my opinion.

Using the new system, can a user:

1. Allow others to view _filed_ bug report, and any LW3DG responses, by providing a link?
2. Use the received link back as positive, demostrable confirmation the bug was filed?

Neither seem easily doable with the new system, and given recurring past issues with handling, that loss of transparency seems like a bad thing IMO.

Save scene. Reload scene. The wind defaults back to "Direction" mode. That's not cool.

Things like this happen a lot in LW. You have to manually change every time you load the scene. Unbelievable.

Surrealist.

If that is the case, you should report each of those. This one is definitely a bug. It should save that setting. Works in earlier versions.

Fogbugz was removed from service quite some time ago. These days you go into your personal Lightwave account and submit through the 'Reports - Submit New Report' link at the bottom of the right hand column.

I also noticed that when we worki with winds and you have several in the scene and one of them is inactive
the program still considers it as active when the scene is reloaded into the editor. For me it was like having at last finding
the good result with the client sitting beside me and on reload it looked completely different because inactive winds were
counted as active.

Thanks everyone! I'll submit it when I have a chance later today. Yes, I've used Cloth FX many MANY times. To have this just "break" is pretty horrible. Bummer. Who knows if / when they'd fix that. Hopefully it's an easy fix.
